LEGO ENGINEERS

LEGO ENGINEERS (5-7 Y)

This program is great for Junior & Senior Infants students. They can build from twenty mechanical models using simple double-sided full-color building instruction cards. Students will use gears, levers, pulleys, wheels, and axles, as well as a plastic punch-out sheet with eyes, sails, scales and wings. They also will build amazing structures, vehicles, and creations.

We will start each class with brief story-based challenge and then use a Lego Education kit to build our own solutions. Each lesson will have real-life applications of the concepts we cover while building! Kids never want to leave the room once they start the program and get in deep into their solution.

Here the key learning values for them:

1.   Exploring basic mechanical principles such as gears, levers, pulleys, wheels and axles

2.   Investigating force, buoyancy, and balance

3.   Solving problems through design

4.   Investigating structures, friction, and flow.

5.   Work with others and sharing findings
